The founder and owner of Doyenne Events, LLC Desirée Cheryl Adams, a certified International Event & Wedding Professional (IEWP) with over a decade of experience in creating conducive to conducting effective and efficient meetings and spectacular special events.

 

Doyenne Events has established itself as a creative and innovative business with a focus on the essential facets of successful events – connecting people, devising smart solutions, and seeing the big picture while also mastering the fine details.

 

Our reputation for planning and organizing successful events is evidenced by our ability to cultivate trusted relationships with business sponsors, owners, and colleagues from multiple vendors and companies. We thrive on the emotional connections with our clients and plan events that are explicitly designed to speak intimately and directly to each client's needs.

 

 

The Owner

Desiree’s career began with consulting, planning and executing events for private and non-profit companies and organizations.  She strategically worked to manage the all-encompassing work of handling logistics of marketing, operations and sponsorship programs within the respective budget. 

 

In 2015, Desirée’s life and work converged and consequently led to the founding of Doyenne Events, LLC. And, today the company is cooperative of experienced, dedicated event planners of her daughters and associate. This event team exemplifies a wide range of experience which they bring in onto the scenario to ensure that only the best be delivered. 

 

Desirée earned a Master of Science in Project Management from University of Maryland University College. She is an active member of the event industry and believes in giving back to the industry through creating standards of excellence and raising the bar of professionalism. Additionally, Desiree is a member of Wedding.com, Scrum Alliance Inc., and Project Management Institute.

 

Desirée resides in Olney, Maryland. When she is not planning fabulous events you can find her checking out an event industry blog for the latest trend, training for her next charity walk, contributing to her church, or spending time with her family.
